Will be coming to Kivalina on Tuesday, January 17 to do TABE tests for eight (8) individuals on Wednesday, January 18. The testing will be done upstairs of the City Office. 1st group will be from 9:00-11:00 p.m. and second group will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. You will be notified directly if you are a recipient! Please don't breeze through the test, take time to think about your answers. This TABE test will determine whether you are eligible to attend the GED course in Barrow.

WINDOW TO SUCCESS
Thanks to the efforts of City Administrator Janet Mitchell, she was able to enlist the aide of Andrew Lee, owner of Positive Choices, Inc., to start a higher education program through Maniilaq Association's Health Education program headed by Coordinator Jason Johnson. The program began in October of 2010 and continues to today. The program is to help the young people of Kivalina with higher education plans. The plans are of adding Noatak once the program has been better established, and if it is very successful, we will gradually add the rest of the villages. The list of applicants is as follows so far:
